Philippines — October 2026 — GIBU Creatives proudly welcomes Frankie Badango as Jr. Creative Director, bringing a filmmaker’s perspective, cinematic storytelling discipline, and strong media experience into the agency’s evolving creative leadership.

Frankie’s creative journey began with writing stories and evolved into directing short films and documentaries, with his work earning national recognition along the way. His experience extends beyond filmmaking, having worked with IBC News and as a Segment Producer for a morning show, where he developed a strong understanding of newsroom dynamics, content development, research, production coordination, and the demands of working within fast-paced media environments.

These experiences have strengthened his ability to research deeply, identify relevant narratives quickly, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and translate complex information into compelling stories. They also give him a valuable understanding of how content moves from insight to execution across different media formats.

“Frankie brings a distinctly human and cinematic perspective to the work,” said Wil, Chief Creative Officer of GIBU

“His background in filmmaking gives him a strong foundation in narrative construction, visual direction, and audience perception. As GIBU continues to evolve its creative offering, his perspective will be valuable in pushing our campaigns beyond visual impact toward stronger storytelling and deeper audience connection.”

At GIBU, Badango's immediate focus is to bridge authentic storytelling with GIBU’s bold visual identity, creating campaigns that do more than capture attention. He aims to build narratives that connect with audiences, create emotional resonance, and ultimately drive measurable impact.

Collaboration is also central to Badango’s creative philosophy. He believes the strongest creative outcomes emerge when different perspectives, disciplines, and ideas come together to create something stronger than any individual could build alone.

As he steps into the role, Badango is also looking ahead to the possibilities of AI in creative direction. He sees technology as an enabler that can streamline workflows, reduce repetitive production demands, and give creatives more space to focus on imagination, strategy, and craft.

His creative philosophy can be distilled into three words: Human. Visual. Grounded.

Over the next year, Badango aims to elevate GIBU’s campaign narratives through storytelling, strengthen the agency’s collaborative creative process, and create work that is not only visually striking, but culturally relevant, strategically sound, and built to perform.

GIBU Creatives welcomes Frankie Badango to the next chapter of its creative journey and looks forward to the perspective, craft, and ambition he brings to the work.
